M17 Transgender Male Seeking Friendship With Older Men

by ADMIN 55 views

Hey everyone! As the title says, I'm an M17 trans guy looking to connect with older male friends. I'm putting myself out there because I believe that having friends of different ages and experiences can be incredibly enriching. I'm hoping to find some genuine connections with guys who are a bit further along in life, who can offer a different perspective, and maybe even some mentorship. If you're an older man looking for a new friend, read on to learn a bit more about me and what I'm hoping to find in a friendship.

Who Am I?

First off, let me tell you a little about myself. I'm a 17-year-old transgender male, which means I was assigned female at birth but I identify and live as a male. This is a big part of my identity, and it's important to me that my friends understand and respect this. I'm still figuring things out in life, like any teenager, but being trans has definitely shaped my experiences and how I see the world. I'm passionate about LGBTQ+ rights and awareness, and I'm always learning and growing in my understanding of gender and sexuality. Besides that, I'm into a lot of the typical stuff teenagers enjoy. I love video games, especially RPGs and strategy games. There's something about immersing myself in another world or challenging my mind with complex strategies that I find really appealing. I also enjoy reading, mostly fantasy and science fiction. I'm a big fan of authors like Brandon Sanderson and Neil Gaiman, who create these incredible worlds and characters that just pull you in. Movies and TV shows are another big thing for me. I'm a sucker for a good superhero movie, but I also appreciate a well-written drama or a hilarious comedy. And of course, who doesn't love binging a great TV series? Music is also a huge part of my life. I listen to all sorts of genres, from pop and rock to electronic and classical. Music can really set the mood and help me express myself. I'm also trying to learn to play the guitar, which is proving to be a challenge, but I'm determined to get there eventually. Academically, I'm interested in history and social sciences. I find it fascinating to learn about different cultures and societies, and how the past has shaped the present. I'm not quite sure what I want to do as a career yet, but I'm exploring different options and trying to figure out what I'm truly passionate about. Ultimately, I'm just a regular guy trying to navigate life, and I'm hoping to find some awesome friends to share the journey with.

What Am I Looking for in a Friend?

Now, let's talk about what I'm looking for in a friendship. Since I'm specifically reaching out to older men, I'm hoping to find someone who has a bit more life experience and can offer a different perspective than my peers. I think it's incredibly valuable to learn from people who have been through different stages of life and can share their wisdom and insights. I'm really seeking someone who is open-minded, respectful, and non-judgmental. It's important to me that my friends are accepting of who I am, including my identity as a trans man. I want to be able to be myself without feeling like I need to hide or explain myself constantly. Honesty and trust are also crucial. I believe that the best friendships are built on a foundation of openness and vulnerability. I want to be able to share my thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment, and I hope my friends can do the same. A good sense of humor is definitely a plus! I love to laugh and have fun, so someone who can make me smile and doesn't take themselves too seriously is a huge bonus. Shared interests are also important, but not essential. While it's great to have things in common, I'm also open to learning about new hobbies and interests from my friends. What truly matters most to me is that we connect on a personal level and enjoy spending time together. I'm hoping for a friendship where we can talk about anything and everything, from the mundane to the profound. I'd love to have someone I can confide in, someone who will listen without judgment and offer support and advice when needed. In essence, I'm looking for a genuine connection with someone who values friendship and is willing to invest in a meaningful relationship.

Why Older Male Friends?

You might be wondering why I'm specifically looking for older male friends. There are a few reasons for this. Firstly, I feel like I can learn a lot from men who have more life experience. They've been through different stages of life, faced various challenges, and gained valuable insights along the way. I'm eager to hear their stories, learn from their mistakes, and benefit from their wisdom. Secondly, I'm looking for a different perspective. My peers are mostly going through similar experiences as I am, and while that's valuable in its own way, I'm also craving the perspective of someone who's further along in life. Older men have often navigated careers, relationships, and other major life events, and I think their insights can be incredibly helpful. Thirdly, I'm hoping for a mentor figure. While I have supportive family members and friends, I sometimes feel like I'm missing a male role model in my life. Having an older male friend who can offer guidance and support would be incredibly meaningful to me. I believe that having a mentor can make a huge difference in a young person's life, and I'm actively seeking that kind of connection. It's not about replacing my family or existing friends, but rather adding another layer of support and guidance to my life. Finally, I simply enjoy the company of older men. I find them to be interesting, engaging, and often very funny. I appreciate their perspectives and their willingness to share their experiences. I think that intergenerational friendships can be incredibly rewarding, and I'm excited to explore those kinds of connections.

What I Can Offer in a Friendship

So, what can I offer in a friendship? I believe I have a lot to bring to the table. First and foremost, I'm a good listener. I genuinely care about what my friends have to say, and I'm always willing to lend an ear and offer support. I think it's so important to have someone who will listen without judgment and be there for you when you need it. I'm also a loyal and trustworthy friend. When I make a commitment to someone, I take it seriously. I'll always have your back, and you can count on me to be there for you through thick and thin. Honesty is also a core value of mine. I believe that the best friendships are built on a foundation of honesty and openness. I'll always be upfront and truthful with my friends, even when it's difficult. I also have a youthful energy and enthusiasm that I think can be contagious. I'm always up for trying new things and exploring new interests, and I love to share that excitement with my friends. I can bring a fresh perspective and a different way of looking at things, which I think can be valuable in any friendship. Furthermore, I'm eager to learn and grow from my friendships. I believe that every relationship is an opportunity to learn something new, whether it's about yourself, the world, or something else entirely. I'm always open to new ideas and perspectives, and I'm excited to see what I can learn from my older friends. And of course, I can offer companionship and fun. I enjoy spending time with my friends, whether we're just hanging out and chatting, going out to do something fun, or working on a project together. I think that laughter and shared experiences are essential to any good friendship.
